Camping

Muscatatuck Park  offers 35 electric sites.  Sites are graveled and pull-through sites are available.  Water, a fire ring, and a picnic table are provided at each site.  A clean modern shower house, dump station, as well as friendly camp hosts are supplied for your convenience.  Primitive sites are also available.  During the winter, water is off and modern bathrooms are closed.  The park has hiking and biking trails, access to the river, basketball court, sand volleyball court, baseball field, playground, picnic areas, shelter houses, fishing, and a public pool within two miles.

Lakeview Campground is a clean and friendly campground located outside of North Vernon.  It offers electric sites, water, sewer, modern bathrooms with showers, 11, acre lake, fishing, and wooded sites.  Long term camping available.

Deer Creek Campground is a privately owned campground with 110 seasonal sites with all utilities and 20 sites with water and electric.  They also have 2 bath houses with showers and a laundry facility.  They also have activities like a nine hole miniature golf course, swimming, horse shoes, basketball, volleyball, and hiking.  Directions (from North Vernon) - Travel east on US Hwy 50 1 3/4 miles east of North Vernon to Deer Creek Rd.  Turn Left.  Travel 3/4 miles to Deer Creek Campground on left.

Camp Cedar Wood is located in the Country Squire Lakes community.  They offer 21 sites with such amenities as electric, water, sewer, bathrooms, showers, and pull through sites.  There is a two week limit on camping.  Country Squire Lakes is located on Highway 7 north of North Vernon.  Campers check in at guard shack.

Brush Creek Campgrounds offers 45 sites.  All sites include electric and water.  There are bathrooms, showers, and a dump station.  Shelter houses and a fishing pond can also be found.  Camping season runs from April 15 to October 15.  There is a limit to three days per week, however, if a camper would like to vacation for 1 or 2 weeks, then there is an extra fee for electricity.  Take Highway 50 east from North Vernon to Butlerville.  In Butlerville, turn left at Car Designs 1/2 mile on right.
